A Grand Opening was hosted at Honor Health Sciences’ new location in El Centro on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. The celebration of their new spot culminated in a Ribbon Cutting, tour of their new facility and teaching equipment, and a small reception with dinner, dessert, and cocktails.
“I’m overwhelmed. It is a fantastically, beautiful, organized, wonderful business for our Valley. You can tell how excited the students are, how much they care, and they’re really motivated to move into the medical field through this wonderful business,” said IVRCC President Anne Irigoyen in her opening remarks.
Honor Health Sciences is owned and operated by husband and wife, Jeffrey and Jaymee Chan. It is the first private nursing school in the Imperial Valley that offers a one-year LVN Program, which opened with its first round of students on September 12, 2022.
“Our students, of course, I’m very proud to present them … It’s been nice to work with them but there’s a lot of work to do. We’re here to present them in the future to be credible nurses, and more importantly, to have the values that they need to deal with a lot of problems here in our community,” said Jeffrey Chan.
According to their website, Honor Health Sciences will have RN and PT programs coming soon.
